Murphy’s Creek Escape is located only 90 minutes from Brisbane and 30 minutes from Toowoomba and it’s the perfect place to go mountain biking camping and get away from the hustle and bustle of life.
Murphy’s Creek Escape offers a fantastic mountain biking experience for both novice and experienced riders, set within the picturesque bushland at the base of the Toowoomba Range in Queensland. The property’s expansive terrain features a variety of trails that wind through eucalyptus forests and open bushland, providing a mix of technical challenges and scenic beauty.
We also have a mountain bike track built into the side of our ridge. The track offers over 2 kilometres of riding in a giant loop and it has been given the thumbs up from expert mountain bikers. It’s free of charge to use our tracks and all you have to do is bring your own bike. While riding your bike, you get to enjoy the serene and beautiful views our campsite has to offer making the whole experience worthwhile.
Riders can explore custom-built tracks with varying difficulty levels, making it suitable for families, beginners, and seasoned bikers alike. The trails are well-maintained, with features such as gentle slopes for easy cruising and steeper inclines and descents for those seeking an adrenaline rush.
Murphy’s Creek Escape encourages visitors to bring their bikes, and staff can provide guidance on the best trails to suit their skill levels. Hidden Vale Adventure Park

Hidden Vale Adventure Park (HVAP), located approximately an hour’s drive west of Brisbane, offers an exceptional mountain biking and camping experience within its expansive 12,000-acre property. Cullendore has a range of mountain biking trails and mountain bikers have access to the National Park’s fire trails. These trails wind through diverse landscapes, including temperate forests and open grasslands, providing riders with scenic views and varying terrains.
Beyond mountain biking, guests can engage in birdwatching, with over 210 species identified in the area, bushwalking, and photography, making it a haven for nature enthusiasts.
The Steps Barrington Campground

Bookings for Barrington Bike Park are essential, and the shuttle day pass includes access to The Steps Loop and Pump Track.
