Murphys Creek Escape, Upper Lockyer

Our sites also offer flexibility so that you can come with a big crew and sprawl out across your allocated space with tents, tarps and tables – which means your pup has more room too.
With jaw-dropping scenery and an incredible landscape, there will also be plenty of opportunities to snap the perfect family portrait to stick on the fridge when you get back home. As you won’t need to break the back pocket and fork out for an expensive kennel to look after your dog while you’re gone, you can use those $$ dollars to extend your trip a little longer too. S.S. Dorrigo Campground, Inskip Point
Treat your pooch to a night under the stars in the S.S. Dorrigo Camp Group at Inskip Peninsula Recreation Area Camping. The site is located right near the famous Rainbow Beach, known for its glistening blue waters and golden sandy shores. You won’t find any designated campsite here and that means you can pitch your tent anywhere inside the five camp sections scattered across the region. Unless you’re going in the peak of summer, things are usually pretty quiet around here, and you can easily find enough space for yourselves.
Set yourself up for a weekend and let your doggo off the leash to explore the pristine waters of Pelican Bay or tackle the crashing waves at the main beach. Campfires are also permitted on the sand, which means toasted marshmallows are most definitely on the menu every single night for dinner.

Goomburra Valley Campground
Did someone say W-A-L-K? That’s precisely what you’ll be doing at Goomburra Valley Campground – and plenty of it. The grassy lawns and hiking trails make this the ideal place for your furry friend to run out all of their energy and explore a whole new world of smells. If you’re more of a glamper, this is the ideal place for you as it comes with all the creature comforts of home. We’re talking about drinkable water on-site, hot showers and toilet facilities.
It can get pretty stinking hot out here in summer, but when you’ve got a creek flowing through the campsite, it doesn’t take much to cool down. Stop by for a night or make a weekend out of it, Goomburra Valley Campground is a paw-fect spot to take the whole family on your next camping trip near Brisbane.

Gordon Country Campgrounds
Unlike many of the other dog-friendly sites near Brisbane, your furry friend can have all the freedom they want at Gordon Country Campgrounds. There are more than four thousand acres of open bushland from them to sniff, and as long as they’re supervised and don’t get too overexcited by it all, you won’t need to whip out the leash. This site is a popular pick for plenty of Brisbane locals, so you’re bound to meet plenty of other families with super cute and friendly dogs too.
One of the biggest drawcards for the campground is its on-site convenience store. Forgot to bring toilet paper? Run out of bread? Craving an afternoon ice-cream? Minjerribah Camping, North Stradbroke Island
You’re kidding yourself if you think that you are your doggo’s best friend. The truth is that the beach will always outrank you in the eyes of your pet. Get some salt in your hair and watch the tail start wagging as you pitch your tent at Mingerribah Camping on North Stradbroke Island. As long as you’ve got a reliable 4WD and understand the basics of beach driving, you’ll be able to make your way around the Island pretty easily and quickly. At Minjerribah Camping, your doggo can play in the surf and chase the waves while you grab a board to hit the surf or test your beach fishing skills. And with so much open space, you’ve got endless hours of fetch calling your name too.
